The Fages de Climent Library is the public library of Figueres.
It is currently part of the Catalan Public Reading System. It is managed by Figueres City Council and is supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Provincial Government of Girona.
Since 1969, the Library has been named after the poet and journalist from Figueres. ">Carles Fages de Climent (1902-1968).
The Figueres Library continues with the will to serve the former Popular Library opened in 1922. It preserves a remarkable old collection and a valuable local collection. With the move to the current building, in 2000, it adapted to the needs generated by social changes, incorporating information and communication technologies.
In a functional building, with areas for all tastes and all ages and with the guidance you need, the Library offers you free of charge: books of all kinds, reference works, newspapers and magazines, music, films and documentaries , and also free access to the Internet.
