The local Hemeroteca section has around 400 titles of periodical publications (magazines, newsletters, information leaflets, circulars) published in Figueres and the towns of the region between 1842 and the present day.
This is a section that is continuously updated with the entry of new titles.

Local press of the 19th and 20th centuries
The local press collection preserved in the Fages de Climent Library is of great value for the study of Upper Temporanda society from the second half of the 19th century.
Despite some gaps, it collects numbers of almost all the headers published in Figueres and surroundings.
The subject matter is very diverse:
- Catalan press such as: Empordà, Alt Empordà or Sol Ixent;
- Political and social press among which we highlight Empordà Federal, Libertad, La Comarca;
- Humorous magazines such as El Sanyó Pancraci;
- Important Catholic magazines were La Veu de l'Empordà (2nd era), and Vida Parroquial, Santa Maria del Mont;
- We find general weeklies such as Nuevo Figueras and La Galeria;
- Literary magazines such as El Pensamiento, Publications de la Terra or Canigó;
- On agriculture we have La Granja and Bulletin of the Agricultural Chamber of Ampurdán.
