At the Library we offer you the possibility of taking documents home for a certain period of time. This service is free and to be able to use it, it is only necessary to bring the User Card of the Library or any other library that is part of the Public Reading System of Catalonia. You will obtain the card, free of charge, by presenting your DNI, NIE or passport at the loan desk. Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to register. The loan card is valid in all libraries of the Public Reading System of Catalonia.
You can take home for a period of 30 days:
Books, magazines (except for the current month), sheet music, CDs and DVDs.
Remember that there is no limit on the amount of the loan and that you are the users themselves who decide what you need, always respecting the time limit indicated.
You can request two extensions or renewals to extend the loan term if no other user has requested them. This service can also be done by phone 972 677 084 or via the Internet.
Documents with a yellow spine are excluded from lending. These are works of general reference or frequent use, out-of-print documents or documents that are difficult to replace or that are unique in nature, and reserve fund works. Newspapers and the latest issues of magazines are also excluded from lending, which will be for reference only.
We also offer you the possibility to reserve the material that is left on loan. You can make up to 5 reservations and you will have 5 days to pick them up.
If you provide the Library with an email address, you can automatically receive notices of the arrival of reserved documents, due dates for loans, etc.
Documents must be returned to the Library at the end of the loan period. If the documents are returned late you may be temporarily blocked from the loan service.
They can be returned to the entrance desk or left in the return box, in case the Library is closed. This mailbox allows you to return any document 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Interlibrary loan
If we do not have a certain document, we can send it to you from other libraries of the Public Reading Service (at no additional cost) or from other external libraries (the cost of the service is determined by the provider center).

The Fages de Climent Library offers a home loan service for elderly people or people with reduced mobility who cannot come to the library. We want to facilitate access for these people to one of the options culture and leisure of our city.

Which documents can be borrowed at home and how much
All the documents that are regularly borrowed from the library: books, magazines, audiobooks, CDs, DVDs, etc. The loan is limited to two units each.
Documents can be borrowed for one month, extendable for an equal period.
What must be done to access the service
Contact the Library to request the service. Then, we will arrange a visit to learn about your interests and reading tastes and to be able to issue you a loan card if you do not have one (you only need to present your ID card or passport).
What is the role of volunteers
The task of the volunteers is to take and collect the books and other materials from the library to their home.

The Fages de Climent Library collaborates in exhibitions organized by other institutions by temporarily lending documents and making known, in this way, its most valuable collections.
This temporary loan is subject to regulations and criteria that guarantee the preservation and care of the heritage.
