Collection of nearly 200 postcards of photographic views of Figueres and towns in the Alt Empordà, published between the years 1909-10 by the Catalanist and Catholic newspaper La veu de l'Empordà (Figueres, 1900-1936) to be sold at the stationery shop of the same name, located in Carrer Forn Baix de Figueres, owned by the Macià family. The cards are easily identifiable because the numbering, the municipality and the legend and the mention "Edición de: La Veu de l'Empordà" appear in red. It is worth saying that a series was published in black and white and one in color. The series corresponding to Figueres is 80 postcards, with a number 0 entitled Recuerdo de Figueres.
The Veu de l’Empordà postcards are often used to illustrate research works, exhibition catalogues, advertising brochures, press articles, etc. They are located in many private collections and are still for sale in second-hand bookstores.
